Sunset Drive

We conceived of this series as a group of stills from an unwritten film. We didn’t have a specific narrative in mind; instead we were thinking of suspending the moments before or after an unseen event. Staged at locations along the luminous edge of Los Angeles, we were inspired by the visual language of midcentury cinema. We invite viewers to conjure the story for themselves, allowing their own memory, desires and imagination to write their own story. -Williams + Hirakawa
